We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our operations through fast, accurate testing and reporting – from wine receival to final product analysis. Key Responsibilities 

• Perform routine and advanced wine analysis including chemistry and microbiology 
• Ensure wine meets all bottling specifications and remains in spec throughout the bottling process 
• Collaborate with Production, Cellar, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth workflow 
• Maintain precision and accuracy in test results and report directly to clients 
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organisation to 5S standards 
• Participate in daily haka meetings, production meetings and improvement initiatives 
• Support lab infrastructure including equipment maintenance and calibration 
• Contribute to quality, sustainability, and health & safety systems 

About You 

• A tertiary qualification in wine or science is preferred 
• Laboratory experience, ideally within the wine industry, is essential 
• Microbiology experience is highly advantageous 
• Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and accuracy 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain test results 
• Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement 
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as BRCGS is beneficial
