Maintenance Engineer (Shift)
About the role
This is a permanent, full-time position responsible for leading preventive maintenance efforts and applying engineering best practices to support production targets.
Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing process improvements, managing reliability projects, conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures, and optimising maintenance routines.
Our production schedule operates 24 hours a day from Monday to Thursday. The engineering team works on a rotating shift roster, including on-call duties (minimum of 40 hours per week). The successful candidate will join this rotation once they are fully familiar with WineWorks' systems and procedures. Shift details will be discussed further during the interview process.

Skills and experience:
- Must have a relevant Trade Qualification (e.g., mechanician).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and able to adapt and work effectively within a variety of changing situations.
- Strong attention to detail. Pride in getting it “right first time”.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading, analysing, and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.

- Flexible approach to work hours/days of work (including occasional weekends).
