Wine Packaging Machine Operator - Night Shift
About the Role
WineWorks Marlborough is seeking experienced Bottling Line Team Members to join our high-performing night shift team. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with automated production equipment, this is your chance to advance your career in the heart of New Zealand’s wine industry.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm to 5:00am.
We offer a competitive pay range of $26–$28 per hour (depending on experience), plus:
- A $4.00 per hour night shift allowance
- Free meals during shift
- An additional meal allowance
As a Machine Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth production runs by:
- Operating and troubleshooting automated bottling line equipment (including fillers, cappers, and closures)
- Performing changeovers and basic equipment maintenance
- Maintaining high product quality standards for both WineWorks and our clients
- Following all HACCP, safety, and chemical handling protocols
- Accurately documenting production data and reporting any issues
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 6 months' experience operating automated manufacturing or packaging machinery
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- A strong mechanical mindset with the ability to adjust and maintain equipment during operation
- Familiarity with HACCP, QA processes, and chemical handling (advantageous but not essential)
